The short version

Your browser sends nothing to third parties and stores no tracking cookies.
Visitor counts use a hash of your IP address and browser that changes every day. Your IP address is not stored, and it is never sent to Google Analytics.
One functional cookie, lang, remembers your language choice.
The newsletter is double opt-in, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.

Visits

When a page loads, the site records the page, the referring domain, campaign tags in the link (such as utm_campaign), a device class, a country derived from the request, and the day. To count unique visitors for one day, it stores a hash of your IP address and browser user agent with a salt that is replaced every 24 hours, so the hash cannot be linked across days. Your IP address itself is not stored.

The site also records these interactions with the same data: video plays, store-button clicks, shares, copies, downloads and sign-ups.

Our server forwards pseudonymous event counts (page, event name, campaign tag, country, device class, and a daily-changing hash that cannot be linked across days) to Google Analytics, without your IP address or browser details. It never sends your email address or anything you type into a form, and it forwards nothing from the newsletter confirmation and unsubscribe pages. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, your visit is counted only on our own server and is not forwarded to Google Analytics.

Cookies and local storage

The lang cookie stores your chosen language. It is strictly necessary for the language feature, so it needs no consent. Your browser's local storage keeps your "Pause all motion" setting and any banner you dismissed; it never leaves your device.

If you sign up, we store your email address, the games you picked, your language, the time you consented and a confirmation token. We email you a link to confirm, and nothing more is sent until you click it. You can unsubscribe from any email in one click; we then delete your address within 30 days. Sign-ups that are never confirmed are deleted after 30 days.

Emails are sent from salesandservice@biswagames.com through Google Workspace, and sign-ups are kept in a Google Sheet in our Google Workspace account.

Why we may use your data

Counting visits: our legitimate interest in knowing which pages and games people come for (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Newsletter: your consent, given by confirming your email (double opt-in). You can withdraw it in one click.
Contact and review-key requests: our legitimate interest in answering you, or steps you ask for before an agreement (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) and (b)).

Service providers

Google Workspace (Google LLC): email, and the Google Sheet that holds newsletter sign-ups and contact requests, under the Google Workspace Data Processing Addendum.
Google Analytics (Google LLC): visit reports from the pseudonymous event counts described above.

Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions; where that does not apply, Google's standard contractual clauses do.

Contact and review-key forms

We use what you send (name, email, outlet or channel, audience size, message) only to answer you or to decide on a review key. It is kept in our Google Workspace account for up to 24 months after we close your request.

Community tracks

Tracks that Beyond Putt players publish in Creator Mode appear on this site with their title, thumbnail, like and play counts, and remix links. Creator names and player IDs are not shown or stored by the site. To have a track removed, contact us.

Videos

Trailers come from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and only after you click play. Until then, no request goes to YouTube.

Where your data is processed

Biswa Games is based in India, so if you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, your data is transferred outside it. We protect these transfers with the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or its deletion, and you can object to its use. Write to salesandservice@biswagames.com. You can also complain to your data protection authority.

Hosting

The site is served through Amazon Web Services (AWS).
